The electric bicycle generation

The market for e-bikes is expanding with giant leaps in both Germany and other European countries. It is not only commuters and families who are increasingly discovering the e-bike as a persuasive means of mobility but also a growing number of commercial users.

This victory march is also reflected at EUROBIKE: providers of e-bikes and corresponding system components have already been steadily increasing their exhibition space for some years now. In the Rothaus Hall A1 (new name from March) trade show visitors will find both international market leaders and newcomers to the e-bike segment. Those presenting their solutions include ZF Friedrichshafen AG, BMZ Drive Systems, Brose, Continental Bicycle Systems, Oechsler, Schaeffler, Bafang, Mahle, Yamaha, Fazua and MyStromer.

What contribution is the e-bike making to the transport turnaround? What consequences is digital change having on the as yet largely analogue bicycle?
